this is the first time i've had internet access since we got here. sitting in an internet cafe. we've finished our house. got done yesterday. mostly in part to an amazing man named Edgar. a guy who is my age and reminds both j and i of steve tramp. the cement floor we laid was a work of art! the house is for a 20 yr old single mom, Vivi and her son Fransisco. Fransisco will be 2 shortly. they live on the same lot as Vivi's mom, sisters, and one brother. dad also lives there but has a severe alclhol problem which we got to see up close and personal. that part was pretty sad for everyone. so glad to be a part of a way for Vivi to have her own house. in another place and another time one of my kids might need "someone" to help them out of a hard place. i was priviledged to be "someone" this time around and that is a good thing.
i do have one gripe. i'm not sure why God gave me a heart for this and he didn't give me a stomach and a back to match. i'm off food today.... feeling better tonight. two days ago when we were mixing cement J put his foot down and said i had to stop. i'm glad he did although i grumbled at the time. i had worn my belt the first day, but couldn't that day as my skin was complaining abit. anyway... all is well that ends well and Vivi and Fransisco have a new house.
